Bigger throttle body

Rotary Performance offers a bigger throttle body. Is anybody running one? At what point would this be a useful mod.? Opinions?

I think that I read somewhere that the restriction was in the intake manifold not the throttle body so the bigger throttle body probably wont do much

Another thing to consider, Adam Saruwatari (sp) used the stock throttle body on his 3rd gen he used to race and it made 500 plus HP.

That's not a valid point.....what if he put in the larger throttle body and made 530? Or what if he made 500 with the larger one, then you'd say it was soley responsible. Not enough info to base this part on one person's stock throttle-bodied car.

I agree with this statement, but he's well into the 600s. Anyways, the throttle body is one of the last things to consider altering. I've been told by a few rotary builders that I trust that the TB is at the end of the spectrum.

Maybe I should have said that in Adam's case and on his car, either he didn't think it was worth it, dynoed it and found it wasn't worth it or just didn't care to do it. Either way, if he didn't think it was worth it for what ever reason then a lightly modded car, won't show very much of an improvement in HP, or if it does, is the HP to dollar worth it for $450?

BTW, it the last magazine article it stated Adam was still using the stock throttle body and that was when he was making the high 500 numbers.
SO if he thought it would have added HP, I'd like to think he'd put it on and try it, dyno or not. IMO, I thought about it, I'm making 321 to the wheels at 12 psi and when I called RX-7.com, the internet sales guy, not Trey anymore, basically talked me out of a CF driveshaft and the throttle body saying that HE thought it wasn't worth the money.
