big project

first off a few years ago i bought a 93 rx7 with a bad coolant seal so i tore into it and found out that it had been over heated. i didn't have enough money at the time to have it rebuilt so i waited a couple years to save up some money. now that i have some money i found a rhd front clip with about 40 thou on it, so now i have quite the project ahead of me. repaint, swap engines, swap dash over to rhd and so on. if anyone who has swapped over rhd has and advice for me, or would know where to get rhd door panels feel free to send it my way.

Nice clip, where did you get it!? Looks like you have a lot of work ahead of you, but you'll be done before you know it.

You've purchased a 96-98 front clip. Your going to have problems getting that to suit your 93 as the wiring is different. You've got your work cut out for you and thats speaking from experience.

If you plan on swapping everything from that clip over then you should change over the wiring harness while your at it. The thing is I'm not sure whether it will work on a US spec, but chances are it will.

From memory the engine harness plug from that front clip will not fit with your current stock ECU. The plugs are different hence why you need to replace the entire front wiring harness, dash harness etc. Its a very painful job especially with the FD interior being so tight, its not something you can finish in 1 day without some help from mates. Be prepared for a sore back and neck as you find yourself at all weird angles inside the car while doing this.

One more tip, remember to label everything you unplug from the front clip...it will save you alot of headaches trust me.

ya i planed on using the harness out of the front clip...right now I'm in the proses of taking the dash and wiring harness our of my 93. i also have the seats ripped out of it and pretty much the rest of the interior so it kinda gives you a little more room...but not much.

so with this clip being a 96-98 i would have to get a 96-98 power fc instead of the 93 correct?
