BIG PROBLEM!!!!! need help please!!!!!!
so im riding down the freeway to and just cruising at about 60 and i had my a/c on and radio on. then right out of the blue the a/c cuts off, the 4WABS light comes on and the windows wont roll up or down, and when i cut the car off it wouldnt start back up. so i go around and pop the hood and the fuse named B2 is blown, so i ride down to the advance auto parts staore and get a fuse. when i get home and put it in it starts up, but 2 seconds later the fuse blows. now im freakin out and need help bad!!!!!!!

bad ground?
|
yeah you got a bad ground.
|
any ideas where the ground is or do i have to check all of them.
|
A bad ground is an open circuit. Open circuits do not blow fuses. Short circuits do. The loads on the B2 fuse are the power windows, the HVAC system, and the ignition switch common input terminal. To isolate the short circuit, first disconnect all the loads, then add them back one by one until the fuse blows again. Or to save fuses, use a multimeter set to resistance, and with all power off, measure the resistance from the output socket of fuse B2 (with the fuse removed) to chassis ground for different loads connected. The load showing the lowest resistance is probably the culprit. (IMHO, the battery should be disconnected during these tests.)

Definitely not!! Fix the problem, don't look for shortcuts! Your blowing fuses because you have a short somewhere, or a malfunctioning part. The fuse is there to prevent damage to your accessories, and to the wiring. Bad things happen when people take shortcuts like that. |
I had the same thing happen to me.....check the main fuses....
