best year, model?

I really really want to buy an RX-7 but I dont know much about anything about them except the engine. I was just wondering what the best year, model was? and what are the diff. year/models?

Subjective question, each person will have his own personal opinion.

Read up, make your own decision. After reading and looking for them, you will know what is best for you!

I think it's fairly obvious that newer is better

Well since "newness" is dependant on mileage I would have to say the late model 93 R1s because they have most of the fixes that the 94 & 5s have but without the extra weight and softer suspension. What I did was take a look at a TSB list and decide which ones I didn't want to deal with. Most were early in 93 so I took a look at the last VIN of the last TSB I didn't want to deal with and looked for 93s after that number. The most important thing to worry about today is finding a nice one and having it checked out before you buy. That will take you long enough so worrying about other things shouldn't be a major concern. Well, automatics suck:)
