best way to test for vacuum leak?
okay I have a 93 Rx7 and for a year now i have been trying to fix a problem with my turbo. I would loose boost after I shifted. I found out it was my throttle control soleninoid but somehow when i replaced all the hoses over to silicon and put everything back together I now have a large vacuum leak. Its really loud vaccum leak and its weird to. I can start to build boost up to about 6 psi if im light on the throttle and then it shoots back down to 0. If I go WOT i get 2psi then it gos back to zero. It is really loud i can hear it with my windows up. It sounds to me like its coming from the passenger side around the turbos. I can only test this while im driving so i was wondering if any of you guys have any idea on a way for me to test where I can pinpoint it better. Thanks

It sounds more like a boost leak to me. First thing I'd do is check all the pipes/hoses/couplers from the Y-pipe to the IC.

Just spray carb cleaner anywhere you think you might have a leak.
