Best Fuel Pump?
 

I am running a PFS PMC right now with stock turbos, with all the extra goodies also. I dynoed 350+ RWHP with no fans in the front. I dont want the stock pump to fail in cold weather when I turn it up to 14-15psi. I also am planning on going Single Turbo in the fall and need a pump to support 500 RWHP. I also wanted to get a pump that I could use if I throw in a 20B in the future. I hear RP pump is awesome. Any Sugg's would be helpful.

I can spell but the Bosch is supposed to be best, Walbro (sp) looks good to me. I think M2 sells the Bosch as an unmarked. Not sure what RB sells. The ND pump seems to be a marginal upgrade. Several members have said if you aren't going single turbo the ND pump is enough. I think the attached link has the best info I've found.

You can also consider a supra fuel pump.

Neither (Supra nor Rotary Performance, which is basically the same thing) will reliably support 500 RWHP. They're close, but this isn't something you want to be "close" on.

The Bosch pump is a good contender for an in-tank solution, and although it's puny by comparison with the Bosch "Coke can", many people recommend the Walbro, especially since it's about half the price and outflows the Bosch pump by a small margin at lower pressure levels.

But for true safety margin with those power levels, you'll likely need to weld a sump into the bottom of your tank and convert to -10 fuel lines (at least on the delivery side) and an SX (or equivalent... Paxton, whatever) in-line pump. The downside, obviously, is installation and noise.

However, an in-tank pump will be quieter, and you can run two in-tank pumps. Many Supra owners do.

The "RP" pump is nothing more, nor less, than a Nippondenso pump, and is probably the same part number as the Supra pump, although I can't verify that. The Supra community has long known that this pump, on pump gas (92-93 octane) is good for about 485-500 RWHP, but that's really pushing the limits, and that's a 2JZ-GTE, not a rotary. If you're not going to be watching EGT and 02/fuel ratios closely, you NEED a larger margin of error. I sincerely doubt Steve's dyno pull is indicative of the performance of this pump. You MIGHT be able to get away with it, but does anyone really want to live that close to the limit? Do the right thing ViperEater, buy a bigger pump so you'll have both a good margin of error and room to grow.

I believe the Bosch and Walbro pumps are actually cheaper than RP's pump anyway.

nope,, one RP fuel pump, stock fuel lines, base pressure set at 45psi, 50shot of n2o and 22-24psi of boost.....and got me 582rwhp and 496rwtq.

Now, I have 2 RP pumps, 26psi of boost and 75shot of n2o.... but never really could get a clean n2o pass on the dyno.... most ever made so far is 590rwhp and 560rwtq...
