Battery. Which is right voltage?

I am sorry if i sound dumb but I need to replace my battery of my FD and need to know the exact voltage and amps.
Mine is an import, does it have different readings for volatge then the US?
P.s presently the voltage readings of the old battery is 12V 65amps. Many thanks !

Anyone please?

Aren't battery volts & amps fairly standard? I thought it was the (cold) cranking amps that vary... in which case you just get the highest numbers you are willing to buy.

Actually there the volts is always 12V (for cars). Its the amps that vary. This depends on the electrical power needed for the car. It can vary quite alot.

the voltage is the same but if your is an import then and have an original japanese battery they don't go by cca, they go by JIS. and it's not an actual perfect crvossover. cca goes by output if i remember correctly. and jis has a way of testing the battery internally. if you get a america cca batt i'd go at least 550. a mazda dealer now has an interstate battery with part # ending in 0000-6535 which is the same size as stock rx8/rx7 batteries but comes with 640cca for higher cranking speeds and starters. Those should be readily available. here they are around 104$ for the batt. dunno in your area though. well worth is and interstate is a bad ass battery.

I recently replaced my battery and found that the batteries for 5speeds have less cca than for automatics. I bought the one for the auto and its specs matched the much coveted optima red top for half the price.

Once the car is started its the alternator that keeps everything going, that should be what controls the amps you're reading.

First of all thanks for you feedback!

My present battery is Delphi. The original stock JDM battery was replaced by the previous owner. I am tempted to buy the same type of battery, but i wanted to check that its the right one for sure.

Thanks again!
