Battery Relocation/Fuse Breaker Question

I am planning on relocating my battery to the trunk but I needed a little help first. I searched but didn't find too much useful information. I was just wondering how the fuse breaker works when relocating the battery. How do you hook it up? Does anyone have pics of one installed? Thanks in advance.

What is a "fuse breaker"? If you are referring to just a "fuse", then purchase one that can handle MEGA amperage and install it on the positive (usually red) side of the battery. If you are referring to a cut-off switch, (required by most sanctioning race bodies when the battery is relocated) then you will do just the same, mount it on the positive (+) side of the battery. Hope this helps.

What you are looking for is a circuit breaker. It should be mounted as closely as possible to the battery in series with the positive cable.

Some circuit breakers also have kill switches, e.g.,

Also, you don't have to buy these from a audio shop, the phoenix gold and stinger are just rebranded generic buss circuit breakers.

When I did my battery relocation I found the main (150 amp) breaker for $15 and the smaller 50 amp breaker I used for the stereo for $10

I do not have the link to the place I bought them from though. You'll have to google for it.

Sorry for the confusion, I read fuse breaker in another thread not knowing it was wrong. Thanks for the information.
