Battery relocate without cutting!
 

Ive been meaning to make this post for a year but never took pictures, now since ive got the battery out i may as well..

materials:
Summit trunk relocate kit
Hawker odyssey pc680 mini


First you have to remove the bins, (more of a bitch than it sounds) then i bolted the bracket from teh summit kit into the frame. Ran the wires for the battery and then strapped the battery into the bracket. It fits nicely between the rear bins and the frame. Absolutly no cutting needed and you can keep using the little storage space you have available.

The downside to this is that anytime you want to do anything with the battery the bins need to come out. But that dosent mean you have to take the bins out every time you want to disconnect the battery cause you can disconnect the wire upfront (however you choose)

not to nit pick, but did you fuse protect or relay protect near the battery? Especially since you have to pull the bins to get at it....

no i havent, but probably should. Ill see what i can do about getting a fuse for the thing before i put it all back together

Looks good, I really didn't want to cut my bins, but oh well.

I would highly recommend two things, a battery cut off switch and a fuse. You don't want to burn your car down.

One downside is that if you do any sort of track events, they always want to see your battery to make sure it is secure. I don’t know if you would pass tech.

ive never done a track event (aside from dragracing), but plan to this summer.. hopefully i wont have any problems.

You passed a drag racing tech? I would think that they need to see it tied down... I had the same mounted under the hood..

anyone know what amp fuse should i use on the battery?

150 or 200 will be fine. I bought a ANL Blade style fuse holder and 200 amp fuse on Ebay for $40 total. I did forget to buy a spare, I think I need to do that.
