I was thinking of looking into getting them but I'm not adzactly sure what to ask this guy to verify these ARE actually Bathurst R twins, are they supposd to be bigger?, is there any other noticable features that differ from standard S6 twins? manifold size etc.... will they bolt straight up?

From looking at the picture closely, it looks to be the same size comp housings as stock twins. Everything in the pic looks to be the same location, shape, and size as plain old stock twins.

From what I have heard, the bad ass Bathurst turbos are noticably bigger, and are hella expensive if you find a set.

they are EXACTLY the same turbos as s6 (y-pipe setup will be different - but that's all)

don't confuse the JDM bathurst with the bathurst winning SP FDs from oz - totally different. One is a homologated race special (slightly toned down in the showroom models) and the other is an optioned-down base model FD that was sold for a bargain price to attract new customers (cashing in on the fame of the race).

only the version VI (00-02) bathurst specials have upgraded (280ps) turbos.

There was a comparision photo between the '99 spec turbos that everybody can get here, and the "bathurst" specials on here at some point....

so these are nothing better than stock fd turbos?

but let's be clear - they were SP turbos, from australian race FDs - not JDM.

pre-sept 00 JDM bathurst turbos = standard, bog-stock, FD turbos

after that (up to 02) JDM bathurst turbos = the 280ps type with abraidable seals

At no stage were JDM FD turbos any 'larger' than the USDM.

There's a size diffrence in the 2002 RZ twin VS 99 spec

uh no that guy is a hustler or just ingnint...

I own a 2003 Spirit R type A. I have owned 3 set of RZ turbos... 4 sets of spirit R turbos... and more than 10 bathurst/RS turbos and they are all the same.

The ones in the pics are custom jobs thus the brand new. With old ass oil lines and plumbing.

That is pure crap.
