Banzai Diff Brace question.
 

Is this suppose to be touching at all to the body of the car or does the PPF need to be readjusted? After i fixed my starting issue i figured to install this while i had the car up.:blush:

That does not look like our product. Did you buy that used? Looks like a copy.

Our brace does not have the huge gap between the bars and we press brake the angles. We also make sure that the bars reach across the mounting pad. Additionally those welds do not look like ours. As you can see from the pic we run our bars parallel at the bend, not over one another causing the issue that your seeing.

Adjusting the PPF is not going to change the way that brace makes contact with the body.

I have purchased 3 diff braces from Banzai and the welds are not blotched up like that on ANY of them.... That looks all boogered up...

thats a knock-off/copy.

My brace is currently off since I am in the middle of a rebuild. Pull yours off and you can compare it to mine so you have 100% confirmation....

got it yesterday and installed it but and drove to work fine, i can feel that the rear end seems a bit more stiff, but i notice after 5k+ rpms it causes some vibration, just wanting to make sure this is normal? I didnt test it as WOT but gradually going up the rpms with no boost. (raining out/Streets wet)

I have full super pro bushing set, along with aftermarket toelinks and trailing arms and used r1 suspension if that may cause the rear to be to stiff and cause this issue? I can also feel a difference during normal driving I should of say I guess the stiffness made the normal driving a Lil less confortable than without the brace. Anyone else feel something like this?

The Diff Brace does not cause vibration and it is not normal. None of your suspension components would be effected by the install. The only thing that comes into play would be the diff bushings, but we have customers running 90A without any vibration. If the diff bushings were not changed with your super pro kit , then that can be the problem if they are worn out. The only other instance I can think of where someone reported vibration was when a customer had shot bearings in the diff. If you have a broken motor mount it could also cause an issue, since the drivetrain would only be held in by 3 mounts and now the diff brace.

Take the brace back off and make sure that the vibration was not already present and you are just noticing it now because you are looking for a difference

The diff bushings were changed out maybe 4 or 5 years ago by themselves and the rest of the car was done late last year. I did break my diff a couple months back and got a used one installed seems to drive fine before the diff brace. The brace also went on with no problem. If lets say it's a bearing, how hard is that to get replaced? And how can I check the motor mounts are shot?

If a bearing in the diff is bad it requires a tear down. Look in the FSM.

Motor mounts, put a jack under the trans and lift. Watch the driver's side, if you have the original aluminum bracket mount, chances are it tore apart a long time ago and is just being held together with the steel band. You can also use a large prybar under the mount bracket.

If you have a load of movement in the shifter when under load chances are the driver's side motor mount is shot.

The diff brace does not add any vibration to the car, if it did I would not have one on my own car. For any vibration to be transimitted something else is broken or worn out.
