Backfire problem?

I had my Blitz muffler installed about a month ago and since then when the engine is still cold or whenever i shift (lift off the throttle) theres the "pop" "pop" sound coming from back of the car. I think its the backfire but im not sure the reason, the car is still stock everything else.

I get different suggestions from friends, some say the air exit is more than the air coming into the burning cycle so i should do the intake mod next, some said there might be leaking from the gasket where the muffler joins to the mid section so when i lift off the throttle the air gets through the leak. whos right? probably all wrong? :D

can anyone give some thoughts so i can fix the problem before the backfire destroy my turbine???

THANKS HEAPS!

This is normal for a rotary. Don't worry about it.

theres no need to worry, this is normal for the rotary engine, u just have to get used to it, and if u have a mid pipe then will ocasionally get a flame like rx7wishing said.
