Autometer A/F ratio problem

i posted this in a topic but it might be better to post it as a thread

Well here is the problem

MY DAMN!!! Autometer A/F meter vary with the voltage of the system.

Here it is: I have the HKS turbo timer type 1, in that little box, there is a volt meter that gives the voltage of the system. The voltage vary between 13,4 and 14,2 V.

When my sytem is at 14 V or over, everything is fine, i am running rich when i should. As soon as the voltage drops under 14, i am no longer rich, it stays in the red even at WOT. It is worst the lower the voltage goes.

I don't know if my A/F meter is broken or what but let say that for the moment it is just a great light that looks cool on my A-pillar.

If anyone has a clue on how to solve that...

Don't know if this answers your question but, I have mine all wired to the ECU, and I've never had a problem with it.

Same here, mine works fine. BUT i have noticed that when i don't start it but turn the key to run, and if i have my subs crankin, the light fluctuates down. Affected by voltage. Maybe something is wrong w/ your alternator? I wouldn't imagine you'd be running less than 14V anyway....that seems like a problem.

I have an autometer a/f gauge, and I never had problems like yours. I have it connected in the din panel and have it wired to the same power source as my radio, so the lights dim when with the volume of the radio, but it doesnt affect the voltage reading.

I have it getting o2 reading off of the ecu.

hmm well maybe i should try to wire it up to the ecu for the + and -, my o2 wire is already on the ecu

so are you guys telling me that i should not go lower than 14V? is it what it is suppose to be?

thanks a lot
