auto tranny

Alright So I've been an rx7 guy for a while... I've had 4 rx7's..... 2 tII's and 2 n/a's all s4/s5's .... anyhow I just found a great deal on an 93 fd but it's a freakn auto. For a second I thought it would be a good idea to keep me out of trouble with the law... but rx7's are supposed to be fun so I want a stick.... I've never owned an auto. I tried doing a search, but couldn't find anything... so here's the question... how hard is it to convert an auto to a stick... and whats needed? I know the fc's are fairly easy, got a bad feeling fd's are gonna be a bit of a pain.

There's plenty of manuals for sale....I would just avoid the hassle and expense.

well see here's the thing... I'm getting the 7 for 7k... everything is perfect except the hood has minor hail damage... and theres a scrape on the right rear quarter... engine was rebuilt along with the turbos 25k miles ago.. interior is perfect, guy just want to get rid of it so he can finish his bad ass project 300zx.... so I think I can justify the cost of a manual swap, and I'm very good at working on cars... just kinda wanted to know if anyone has done it and what was the cost, cause if it's more than 2 grand it's not worth it to me... I'll figure out the rest I guess... I've also heard something about having to make new brackets?

please do a search. I'm sorry but the info you are requesting has been regurgitated ad nauseum. If you can't even find the info on this forum I do not recommend that you even consider it, as it is much more challenging. Try the strings "auto manual swap" or "auto manual conversion", etc. Good luck.
