Apexi Twin Turbo Air Filter replacement / cleaning?
 

All right . So I've got an apexi twin turbo air filter system . the element has seen some abuse . I was looking at replacement filters , but the ones I found were at around $270 . which seemed a liiiitle bit high..

so I was curious what do others with these filters do ? can they be cleaned like a K&N they look pretty similar in construction to them ? can I just use a KN filter cleaning kit??

or do I just need to bite the bullet and get new filters? and if so . where do most people get them i cant imagine people pay nearly 300 for new filters a year.

You're supposed to clean the Apex'i filters with compressed air only, take the filters off and blast compressed air from inside the filter to shift the dirt from the outside.
