APEXi Turbo Timer

Anyone here have this turbo timer that would be willing to assist me ??? I've wired it in and went through the trouble of hooking up the o2 sensor wire to the o2 sensor on the ECU. I don't seem to be getting a reading. Troubleshooting guide say's I'll get the dash's till it warms up. I drove it around abit but the little dash's still appear. I'm now wondering if my o2 sensor is bad as I'm positive I soldered the wire to the right place on the ECU connector. What kind of voltage should I see from the o2 sensor? Jack

I have been using mine for a while and I don't get an A/F reading unless I cruise around for a while it wont read if it is idling.

I really wish I could help .................. :D

The best thing to do would be to get rid of it.

At least you got the BASTARD part right in you sig. ! ! ! ! ! LOL J/K

mine is reading froma WBand and only reads the voltage (must do mental math toconvert to a/f ratio). I input the a/f to volt conversion, but get nothing in a/f setting

Damn, so this looks like a normal thing for this TT. Kinda wish I had not gone through the trouble of soldering the wire into my harness now. Jack

my apexi tt reads about 3 min after i start the car while warming up. if the engine is not cold, and i start the car, it will have dashs for probably 5 min or few miles of driving. then the numbers will show up. since its getting its reading from a narrow band o2 sensor (what we are using on our FDs)...the reading isnt going to tell you much. no different than an autometer a/f gauge light show. for what its worth, at idle, the reading is 20.0, freeway speeds (cruising) is about 14.6 give or take, boosting is about 12. hth

I'll have to look into mine alittle further. When you setup the o2 sensor what range did you set it up at ? ? ? ?

Your O2 sensor itself could also be bad - that's a possibility as well.

I'd get the shop manual out and double-check the wire you connected it to. It's good to double-check those things to make sure you've got the right wire.

Double checked/ tripple checked

I made damn sure (before I stripped the insulation back) that I had the right wire. Drawings are in the garage so I can't post which wire it was. I used the supplied drawing provided on APEXi's website, pulled out my factory wiring diagram made sure they concurred and stripped away. I suspect the O2 sensor but just wanted to know if anyone else had there's working or not. I'm still not sure what range to select in the stup menu. Jack

I had the same TT on my old FC. The O2 sensor feature worked fine, and I don't believe you have to set anything up, especially if you're just looking at voltage.

I would suspect the O2 sensor, but if it's bad you'll likely be getting an ECU code thrown for it and pretty lousy fuel economy.

Also, the O2 sensor needs to TOTALLY warm up before you get a reading. Sitting at idle in the driveway will take it forever to get hot - driving it around will get it up to temp pretty quick.

I assume you tapped the wire in right near the ECU plug?
