apexi power intake installation... dead hose?

Hi there!

Does anybody know where is this hose supposed to go?

It's the one that goes out of the intake stock box from the right side:

I'm installing the apexi intake and when I was getting rid of the couplers I've found the full hose in my hand! So I suppose it was not coupled to anywhere. I've taken a look and I've found no hose that could be coupled with it.
Any help?

It doesn't go anywhere. Don't worry about it when you install the Apexi intake.

Yeah, that tube is just a vent - don't worry about it.

The top of the air box contains a mini muffler/silencer(take a look sometime).
The air control valve discharge hose connects to the back right side of the box into the silencer. This is where the ACV discharges any excress air.
After going through the silencer, it dumps out to atmosphere through your mystery hose!

After you install the Apexi, you'll probably notice a "mooing" sound coming from the engine bay. That's normal. If you want to get rid of it, go to Dale Clark's website. He has a writeup on how to get rid of it.

I just got through re-installing the stock airbox after I installed my boost controller. I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out where that damn hose was supposed to go!! I thought I was losing my damn mind.....
