Apex'i Auto Timer Question
 

Ok, i already searched for the answer to this and found nothing....
When you are setting up the timer.. whatlevel do you set the A/F range at ? Also what voltage do you set the o2 sensor at? > Does it matter if my ground is the the frame not the ECU ground? Thanks to anyone who can help.

In case anyone was wondering, i called Apex'i yesterday to ask for the correct settings. They told me that a '93 Rx-7 was not in their computer and didn't know what the settings should be on it..

I just bought this little toy about 2 wks. ago. Mine had a graph on the instruction manual that told the ideal settings for the O2 and A:F. Did you not see that.

What pisses me off about that A:F gauge is that fact that you cant' change the limits to something other than 10 for minimum and 20 for max. Mine is always going below 10 at WOT but I just don't know how far it is going.

Well when I bought my auto timer about a month ago the instructions were all in Japanese. Yes I did see the graph on the instruction manual but didn't really make much sense to me since I couldn't read anything else on the manual :) But if someone knows how to setup this little baby up please let me know!

I went to the web-site and looked at the "ideal" air/fuel ratio. What the hell does all that mean. I mean exactly what do I type into this thingy (values) to make it read correctly with my car. :confused:

i never bothered with all that other stuff.. i just got a harness.. plugged it in.. and set it for a minute and i put it in the glove box. all in all you have to be running at high boost for a long time in order to get the turbos hot enough to cook oil and then come to a stop and shut off the engine in order to do damage.. if you're on your way to park most likely your not speeding into the lot boosting and shutting off the car right away. in normal driving having your timer going for more than a couple minutes is overkill because it gets even hotter in the engine bay just idling there.

I believe when you go in to the timer to change values you are only calibrating the timer to read a certain A:F ratio off of a given O2 value. Most cars should be about the same in terms of O2 sensors and their voltage. The A:F gauge on this thing gets the A:F ratio just by taking the O2 voltage and extrapolating the values. Whenever you are cruising (not accelerating or letting off the gas) your A:F ratio should be somewhere very close to 14.7 (stoichometric - ideal A:F ratio for power and economy). Whenever I am at WOT, mine drops below 10. The problem is I don't know by how much b/c 10 seems to be the lowest value that this gauge will see, unfortunately.
