I think it would be awesome. You don't lose low end torque, and you still get high end power. AWESOME PRODUCT I TELL YOU!

I've been trying to find stats for the PS revolution for ages. It piloted this technology. No one wants to try it and find out if it really works.

I have the 90mm one sitting in my garage. I used it for 2 months on my WRX, but in the end decided to switch to a completely different exhaust.

145 was the best I could find from a reliable vendor.

A'PEX-i did a test of their own, and the baseline run was 267ps, with the R55 it was 285ps, and the PS Revo was 282ps to the wheels. So with that said, it was a 3 ps loss compared to their flagship R95 exhaust system. Which is really good.

For those who don't like the N1 canister style, there is a new RS Revolution too. The PS revolution starts it's piping with 80mm to 95mm to 97.5mm. The new RS starts at 85mm to 95mm, and ends with a muffler at 100mm. That's pretty big.

+1 to the ECV. what i'd be interested to know is if we can use ECV to control the backpressure instead of having a highflow cat on the midpipe to help with boost creep ?? |
I have two of these (90mm non-turbo n/a) on my dual N1s. Much quieter than unsilenced. I don't have dynos with them on or off but it doesn't seem any different than before I got them. I think this ECV valve would probably be the best option. Sometimes I wish my car was loud again!

Yeah, sometimes I wish my car was louder too. My exhaust is tuned to open all the way, and it's just some what loud. When I tune it to as quiet as I can, it's almost stock.

turbine wheels and restrictive turbine housings provide more than enough backpressure to prevent the loss of low end torque. standard silencers for N1 style exhausts flow horribly, so they made this new silencer to help with FLOW while keeping the noise down. :) |
True. What I stated above was just what I read off of A`PEX-i's website =Ox. Regardless, good stuff, awesome products, and I'm going to get a Knight Sports Ti Exhaust next year. Hear that Ramy? LOL

does this silencer work with any exhaust, or is it just apexi specific?
I looked at the website and it seems like they offer it in 115mm and 90mm (turbo n1, gt spec, and n/a n1 respectively) Now if I have another exhaust with a similar design (jic or other canister type) and the tip matches, would this silencer work? would anyone have an answer to this? Thanks. |
that silencer will work with any exhaust that has a 115mm and 90mm outlet that is atleast X deep enough for the silencer to slide in.

And it uses one bolt to hold it in.

My magnaflow tip is 5 inches (~125mm). I wish like hell I could use one of these in my setup :(

I'm running a Kakimoto GT1.0z ti on my wrx and it worked fine. I'm 99% sure the Skyline in those tests was running the same exhaust.

I think it wouldn't get stuck open at idle, but for sure it wouldn't be fully closed.
