$1200 (or there abouts) for a Power FC and Commander

Tuning? Once again, such an open ended question...

1. Mods?
2. Goals?
3. Experience?

its about 400$ for the shop to dyno tune it.

mods are basic bolt ons, downpipe, catback, fmic, intake, stock twins. experience is novice. goals...most power...

You can install a PFC yourself in a couple of minutes.

For tuning, you can contact Steve Kan at Gotham Racing for a group tune or you can give A-Spec Tuning a call -- they are in the Chicago area.

I am about to purchase one today. I am going with Jap Parts Specialist on Ebay for $750 + $45 shipping - commander and cpu. Then I am getting in on the group buy for the innovative WB02 and AFR gauge. Then get it tuned as soon as installed. There is a matter of disconnecting the wires, I think like 4 (correct me if I am wrong) ,so it will work properly. Check the threads. do a search. I am very confident from speaking to like 5 guys on the forum with a combined post count of like 30,000 posts, that you should only tune with a true wideband o2 sensor or your just asking for it. It is very important to tune it properly to your AFR's once you get it in. I hope I spoke well for those that have helped me on this. You are definately playin' russian roulette by running the base map with out a wideband, that is one thing that is clear to me after all of my studying, and the is a lot more to come, which I recommend for anyone that is thinking about purchasing such a major piece like the PFC. hope that helps. oh got to get someone that tunes FD's to do it, and you have to trust them, ask them to see what they have tuned before.

theres plenty of write ups on the power FC section on the forum, of how to install. I have a private tuner, he charged me 400$ for a tune

I had mine installed a couple of weeks ago by the guys at Rotary Performance here in Dallas. It made a world of difference, it's like a totally different car. Chris Ott tuned mine and it cost me $200.00. An hour to install and an hour on the dyno getting tuned. I'm extremely happy with it. As everyone knows Steve Kan is also on top of his game at tuning and I highly recommend either one. Good luck.
