Anyone using Apexi N1
 

I need to know some info on the Apexi N1 single and duals.

Can anyone describe the sound of the two and which one sounds more aggressive? A sound clip would help too...

Also performance wise, are they about equal? Thanks everyone

The dual n1 with a midpipe is the loudest thing on earth (that's what I have)
you don't want to do that I don't think.
The left tip is more straight back and the right one is curved so it doesn't flow as much.
It was really really nice with the stock cat and I don't think too bad with a high flow cat either.
I like the look of the dual tips because I hate single tips. The dual n1 tips are huge...definetaly not a stock look if you want that go with racing beat or m2 but I'd say the dual n1 is one of if not the best flowing dual tip exhausts for our cars so you will be losing power with the other exhausts and therefore they are quieter.

Awesome sound at WOT. Kinda thumpy though on idle, but they seem to sound all like that. Thanks for the clip.

I like my N1 exhaust. Even when I added the DP its not that loud.

well N1 singles are loud.....but it does sound nice though..in my 2nd en anyways....

I did so a lot of searching, I heard the JIC, the Carbon Ti, the N1 duals, but I still have not heard the N1 singles. I saw a guy posted a GT spec Apexi, but it was not accessible.

I run the Apexi N1 and I love it. Always love a loud sounding exhaust. Good for flames too :D

HKS Hiper. Save money and get at least the same performance and build quality. $329 at the store. I was very satisfied with what you get in the package compared to the JIC. I don't see why there's a $200 difference there. Not a good idea to challenge HKS when you're a new company. Perfect fittiment, perfect sound, and perfect build quality. You will be satisfied with your purchase if you buy one.

even without the midpipe it's loud. i just have a dp and n1 dual and it can get quite annoying if it's your daily driver. but i like the attention :p:

the n1 dual melts many of our BUMPERS...you can do some modification to the hangers so that it does not come as close...

the thing is abusively loud. the neighborhood hates me. but then again...a fast seven is the envy of the neighborhood.

I should have gone with the pettit...it has the best sound to me. the racing beat sounds cheap for some reason...the pettit is low...and not as droning as the n1

Haha, I hear you on that one artguy , I live here in Birmingham and the cops will bust your chops with a 450 dollar ticket if you disturb the community.

Anyway I heard of it melting people's back bumper. I have heard the duals in person and it does sound good. But now Iam also looking into the N1 singles exhaust. I just wish I knew how it sounded compare to the duals. Anyway thanks everyone.

I have the N1 single, I can only compare it to flowmaster single that my friend runs on his FC, I have a large streetport, 3in DP & MP & CB, it is the loudest thing I have ever heard, even for a rotary, its got kind a different nasty rumble and at WOT your not talking to the person sitting next to you, my radio burned out today but I dont really care, thats how much I like the N1, that and everytime I look at it, it makes me laugh, its so freakin BIG... Haha

I actually owned both of them on my car. I would have to say I like the single better. It looks much nicer and it's quieter too. But the Dual sounds meaner but louder. Power output is about the same as well, It would all depend on personal preference regarding looks I guess..

Hey 1FooknTiteFD, is that a Single RB or dual RB. Hehe you wouldnt mind selling the duals to me would you? Thanks

The JIC will fit very tight up against the rear skirt. It will melt the hell out of it. You can adjust some things on the cannister-pipe connection and the hanger band, but it will still fit very tight. Putting a heat shield on before starting it up is a good idea. I wasn't very impressed with the JIC fittiment. Seemed like the pipe and the hanger bracket was the only thing made for the FD. Everything had to be adjusted and even then, it still fit too tight to avoid bumper melting. The HKS and the A'PEXi come welded into one piece and they fit fine.
