Anyone modified their Undertray for Cooling?
 

Been trying to seal off my radiator good for the track. I glued some foam to seal off any air getting under the bottom of the radiator, but would like to do more.


Thinking of removing it again, and using some cardboard and fiberglass to build up some small panels that will stand straight up and block off air from getting around the siides.

Have any of you done something similar, anyone have a template?

And it's not just for the track anymore. :)

I did the same, but would rather a more long-term durable fix. I stuffed some foam up in between the frame and the under tray where the undertray rises up to be attached to the frame. I then fab'd up some sheetmetal to protect those two places, but would rather remove the tray and fab up something that is sure to remain in place. Something more of a custom fit.

When I had my FMIC, I tried sealing and ducting the rad as much as possible. I actually used some cheap sheet metal from Home Depot and made a short 2" tall L shaped piece that I zip tied to the undertray and it seated to the radiator. I placed some foam at the points where the L shaped part met the radiator so it wouldn't wear on each other. Every little bit helps.

that's what I'm thinking, some type of L shaped pieces on each side formed from fiberglass molded to the undertray and topped with some foam to fit flush down each side of the radiator.
I also thougth of possible fab'ing in some short vanes down the center of the tray leading from the front of the nose to the bottom of the radiator- sort of means to direct air flow.
