Anyone know how to test a GM 3 Bar Map Sensor?
Quick story of what happened.....
Everytime I would turn right, my car would peter off and die. Finally it wouldn't start up. I looked underneith my front drivers side fender and the tire had rubbed through the wiring harness. It rubbed through the map sensor wire. I bought another gm map sensor today and either I fried it too or the connection is still bad. I tried to fix the problem originally. Anyhow, does anyone know how to basically test this gm 3 bar map sensor? Just a basic test would work. Thanks. |
Do you not have a wheel liner?!

No, the tires would have rubbed right through them anyhow.

Anywho, anyone know how to test this sensor? I calibrate my PFC to map sensor using my air compressor with the regulator at about 40psi. Then between that and the map sensor and boost gauge lines, I place a 0-25PSI pressure regulator. With a DATALOGIC attached to the PFC and my laptop, a pen and notepad, I can go from 0 to 25psi logging boost verses what the PFC says. Then I reset my PFC P rows to what I want. |
Well, while the car is off my commander shows -468 . When it's running it jumps up to -700 . When I give it gas the gauge shows --------, nothing.
