Anyone fitted Atkins over sized stud kit?
 

ive not ordered it yet just wanted to no if any 1 has drilled the plates and used this kit
and anything to look out for on install
and any advice

You need a competent shop to align and drill the plates.

I was after more clearance info and how tight side wall to stud
Im going to try it my self see how it goes gona start with the front plate least it will only be front plate i mess up lol

Maybe someone else can chime in as I am not that experienced a machinist. When I welded a coolant lip and machined it back down my endmill didnt even scratch the iron. Might have to heat it up or something before your drill it out.

I did take a few pics. The process took me about 6 hours i realy took my time lol useing the crappy drill press
Had to lighn the head with table using shims to be 100%
The over sized bolt kit is very good they said to use a 13mm drill for it i relise why now the holes in the housings and plates are all miss alighned so by making it massive you can garantee the bolt will fit threw

my advice would be to use dowels to hold i housing between 2 plates and drill threw the lot in 1 go. my drill press would only allow me to go half way at a time ( when drilling use no fluid as will eat the drill bitgo in dry and moderate speed)
my hole size is 12.5 and it has a little movment in it i would have liked it tighter but to much movment in drill head

They work great but DO NOT try to drill those by hand or a drill press. It really needs to be properly done by a machine shop. Otherwise the motor might not stack right.
