Also, COsborne...in the prices/info you listed above...did you mix up the shipping prices for me and my friend? Because you split johnisenglish's and my shipping prices in half (of $75). Wasn't sure if you meant to split my buddy's 240's price and mine??? So, the 2" bars went up like $40 or $50???

shipping is fixed. yeah the 2" bars went way up. I'd just get the 1 3/4" if I were you. The 2" is heavier, harder to fit and its not any stronger.

They wouldn't do it for me...but maybe things have changed.

Sorry dude, this thread is 8 pages long and I have like 10 people pm me every day. The Answer to your question has already been posted. If you consider 2 clicks on the driver's seat and 2-3 clicks on the passenger seat a big difference, then yeah... For max room I'd get a bin mount with a removable cross brace in 2 3/4.

There are posts within this thread that have links that answer you question I believe.

Short answer is, I am 5'10 and fit snug on the driver side. Any taller than me, and it will be tight. There is even less room on the passenger side. My bar is NOT mounted in the bins...that bar probably wouldn't change the space by much if not at all.

Just to double check, my info was origionally listed under badazrx7.

right, shipping is paid to the delivery company when they drop it off.
The guys down in recieving are going to kill me if I do that. I'll have to make other arrangements if I can't pay before hand. Could you post the contact info for the shipping company?
Thank you for going though all this trouble.

You could always pick it up at the freight terminal I guess... Certainly they have to know of an alternate way to handle this

About the seat recline/cross bar thing, how much recline does the driver have with the bar in? I shoulda asked this before, but I may want to switch to the removable if its a big issue <im 6'3>.

When my bar was shipped, Kirk called me to notify. They gave me the shipping company info and tracking numbers. I just called them and worked it out then. It ships on the slow trucks...so you have probably a week or so depending on where you are.

I suggest you get the removable to be on the safe side. Recline is limited, but you have alot more room than the passenger side. I'm not sure its the cross bar that is restricting on the driver side...and can't really check for you until next week.

I'm not really concerned about the passengers seat, lol. If the drivers is ok with the bar fixed I'm not going to worry about it, I'd rather have the fixed bar than have to mess with it.

The bar will be delivered over night to the people in florida and it will take up to a week for the farthest person away.

I talked to kirk and they said the shipping issues could be worked out when julie gets back from vacation. He said that most likely the ones who cant pay on delivery would be able to pay kirk directly seperate from their roll bar order. I hope all that made sense. If I forgot to answer a question, politely remind me

Yeah, based on the price and your advise COsborne I'd like to change my order to 1 3/4" tubing rather then 2".

Thanks again, COsborne!

Edit: Never mind about the shipping stuff, you beat me too it.

A lot of people have been asking me about the shipping. I guess I wasn't clear. The shipping isnt tied to me in any way so it isn't included in the amount you send me. Kirk prefers that you pay the shipping charge to the company that delivers the bar to you at the time of delivery. Its kind of like COD but youre only paying for the shipping.

FS - Kirk Bar Available

I also have a 1-3/4 Kirk Bar available if anyone is interested. Bond007 and I ordered them together from Kirk and in fact installed them the same day.

This is the 4 pt. bar and has the horizontal harness bar across the main hoop. It does not have the diagonal brace - at least not attached. I requested Kirk to leave it off to provide more passenger seat travel. Kirk did ship me the piece for diagonal brace seperately and it's already cut and ready to be welded in if someone chooses to do so.

It's ready to ship today, so make me an offer if you are interested.
