Anybody running the Evo-r RE-A wing?

Hey guys,

I've seen mixed reviews of Evo-r over the years though my personal experience has been good.

Seeing how there's not too many places to pick up a carbon fiber RE-A GT wing anymore, I was wondering if there was anybody on the forums with firsthand experience with the quality of the Evo-r rep?

I'm deciding between that and the APR GTC300 and haven't yet been able to shift through the rumors and hearsay in all my googling lol

You might check to see if JKL is still around:

I have no experience with Evo-R, but have you checked out RHDjapan? I've had really positive experiences from them in the past to get some special stuff.

For some reason i can't get to their website right now, but it might just be me.

Cool, took a look at their site. I'm kind of in the same boat as with the Evo-R wing though, I couldn't find anybody to give firsthand feedback on the CF wing =\

Hmm...I don't want to seem too ghetto, or turn this thread into a real vs rep thing, but it is what it is: I can't justify dropping ~1.5-2k on a wing from Japan that'll take 2 months to get here lol

So nobody has this wing? I know EVo-r's been selling it for the past few years, there has to be somebody out there with it.

Is the wing for looks, or are you going to rely upon it for downforce during high speed cornering on track?

I wouldn't go anywhere near JKL. Although their products WERE good, a few years ago there was a huge scam with their replica REamemiya front bumper packages. They collected thousands in deposits but never delivered the final product. I'm one of those unlucky clients, but luckily I only lost a $400 deposit. I know others who lost $1000+.

I had their FRP version. I sold it to Fritz Flynn along with my car and it was still brand new in the box. You might ping him to see if he intends to use it or wants to sell it.

This is going to be more for looks, the most I'm going to do with my car is cone dodging. It would be nice to be functional, but I feel like I have too much invested in the car to risk wrecking it on the road course.

Hmmm that's definitely good to know.

Just as an update, I put in an order for a 67" apr gtc300. I figure I might as well spend a bit more now, than to potentially have problems down the road.
