Any way to adjust headlights to line up with hood and bumper?

Before anyone says do a search...I already have. It didn't turn up an answer and I know all about the turning of the red knob...

I was going to switch to the C-West headlights but have changed my mind. I removed my headlights and when I reinstalled them they do not line up correctly when they are in the down position. I turned the red knob as far as I could before it resets and the headlights were still about 3/4" raised. I tried doing this with the battery disconnected and I get them lined up until I hook up the battery and then they reset themselves.

Is there anyway to realign them without taking them back out and adjusting the arm that connects to the motor. I had to remove the arm from the motor inorder to get the headlights out. I wasn't planning on putting the stock headlights back in so I didn't pay attention to where the arm was lined up

Tell me there is a simple fix to this

there are 4 screws holding on the headlight covers. 2 front, 2 back. try screwing around with those (no pun intended :) ), you'll have to pop up the headlights with the switch on the left side of the dash to get to the front 2, then, with the lights down, pop the hood to get to the 2 in the back.

Thanks...I've already tried adjusting the covers. I need to be able to adjust the settings. I don't want to have to take the headlights out again if I don't have to.

I was going to say what JimmyJimboJet said, but he beat me to it. You might try loosening all the mounting bolts to the lights and shimmy things around a little, then tighten them up again. Seems weird that if nothing else changed that you would have this problem, so maybe it's just the "torque" sequence, so to speak.

Make your own thread.

op, if the covers are not lining up, you need to keep readjusting it using the 4 screws connected to the cover itself. 2 in the front, and 2 in the back. The front ones are visible only after you have removed the black cover on the headlight housings.

RLao, the OP posted this thread over 4 years ago. I'm pretty sure he's got it figured out by now. At least I hope so.
