Any safe way to force the car into "Limp home" mode?

I want to get another alarm installed in my car. Unfortuantly I know what goes on at my local installer. Baaaaaaaad things. No other option though..they are all bad around here.

Is there anyway to force the car into "Im running like shit dont beat on me" mode? Safe way of course. I think I remeber something about this being on Robs site or Scuderia Ciriani but I couldent find anything. Any ideas?

You could jusy unplug the MAP sensor. A bit neanderthal, but they won't want to drive it.

Map sensor for sure. or just tape a polaroid to the instrument cluster of the odometer with a "not a single mile!" on it.

If you have a PFC then you could limit the revs to 3000 or something and then unplug the commander. that way they can't screw with anything, and if they drove it 3000rpm or less (2000?) would not be fun to drive.

IF you suspect that they drive your car during the install of an alarm, just watch them during the installation. It only takes an hr or so to install an alarm right?
