Check these things out: http://www.pi-thon.com/Airfilter.htm
I was thinking of getting them untill I saw the price. My cutoff was $10 each...not even close. |
there nice pieces but for $35+ each i rather spend my money else where.

www.burnsstainless.com has much nicer looking clamps at a better price i do believe. they've got the cool clamps like all the pro import guys use. kinda pricey, but definately nice

If you're building a space shuttle you might consider those clamps...of course you'll need NASA's budget to afford them too.
Here's the best clamp out there, hands down. Almost all clamps don't account for changes in temperature that affect grip strength. As soon as you have a cool down they start to leak. The Gates clamps actually get TIGHTER when they get colder, and they won't "chew" expensive molded hose: http://www.gates.com/brochure.cfm?br...ocation_id=546 Any auto parts store that carries Gates products can order them for you. They won't have a CLUE what you're talking about.....;) |

Originally posted by DamonB I can appreciate the science in that, but it sounds like a huge PITA if you ever wish to remove them; they aren't reusable. I don't make it a habit but my intercooler couplings do get removed for maintenance on occasion. Whatever they make is the best you can buy - anywhere. I still think the SAC (spring adjusted clamps) that Mazda uses are the best for applications other than cooling hoses since they self adjust. Now I need to go find that special tool (Eastwood carries it) to take them on and off! I swear I have cursed at those ******* clamps a thousand times...:D |
