anti sway bars
 

What benefits do anti sway bars offer over the stock setup. It is my understanding that they reduce the amount of body roll a car experiences. Does this hold true when you are not pushing the car to the limits? In other words, will i feel a difference by installing these? My car is a 94. Can anyone recommend a manufacturer or specific set up?

Sway bars or "anti-roll" bars are meant to help cornering. They do this by increasing the spring rate on the outside wheel so the car doesn't "fall over". This makes the inside wheel do more work and gets you more traction. They do absolutely nothing unless the car is cornering.

Bars are typically upgraded to thicker ones which are more aggressive and offer more cornering performance. For the street, these can be more harsh when you are driving through ruts and pavement breaks.

Seems everybody makes them for the FD. Off the top of my head: Racing Beat, M2 Performance, Tri-Point, Eibach. Lots of others.

Unless you plan to autox or road race the car I don't see a reason to upgrade.

Our cars are all about cornering. I've gotten my sway bars upgraded to Suspension Techniques. They're very beefy but the car has absolutely 0 roll whenever I take corners at high speed. It's a worthwhile investment if you feel like you have to much roll in your car.
It actually made my car feel more stable.
