Another Exhaust Temp Warning Indicator Question

I've searched the forum, but didn't get a clear answer, so here goes...

My FD has been in storage for the last several months, and I've been giving her some 'exercise runs' every couple of weeks.

Yesterday, the car started fine, except I noticed the exhaust overheat warning light on the center console lit up when the key is in the 'ON' position. It immediately went out after the car started.

I went to the etc. screen on the Power FC to read the switches. The switches were 'ON' for FPD, APR and CCN. I suspect this is ok, since the NTR switch came on when I put the car in neutral, and the ELD switch came on when I turned the fans on.
The voltages readings appeared normal.

My question is, exactly how is the exhaust warning lamp used with the Power FC? The Power FC manual simply states on pg 9 that it will illuminate when the ignition key is in the "ON' position, but does't mention whether it will stay on when the car is running.

I apologize in advance if this has been covered previously, but as I said, the search results I found just weren't clear.

dunno. But for what it is worth, my stock FD's Exhuast overheat lamp goes on when the key is in the on postitions. And turns off when the car is started.

This is normal.

Thanks guys. I'm surprised I never noticed the illumination before. (Maybe because it is always covered by my right arm). ;)
