annoying electrical shorts and Bose system

I just purchased a 94 recently. THe car is in sound mechanical condition, but has two shorts I really want to fix soon. First, the horn does not sound and I cannot seem to find a solution for this. Second, the parking brake light comes on at random times when driving the car. Note: the brake does not engage, just the light comes on. Any experience with this problem is welcome.
Next, the car has the Bose rear speaker system and wiring in the car. It has an alpine deck the first owner put in and never reconnected the Bose when he sold it. I have reconnected it all but one plug which resembles a large phone jack plug. The speaker wie have been tested and all are operational, but how do I get power to the Bose to operate it? Thanks for the help.

Hey i'm not positive but check your wiring harness right around your turbos because the heat that was coming of my turbos ended up burning the wiring harness and my tach would shut off just for a second plus some other little electrical things....just put some heat wrap around it and also check your fuel line because i heard that it can burn through that too.

I've got a 94 touring also, and my brake light comes on too... Usually under hard accelleration, seems to happen more when it's wet out. I really have no idea what causes it, heh. but you're not the only one.

there is a sensor in your brake fluid reservoir. if you barely have enough fluid in there to cover it and accelerate or take corners fast, the fluid will rush away from the sensor and thinking that you have low fluid, turn the light on. when you are sitting level, fluid covers the sensor, so the light is off.
just top off the reservoir and that shouldn't happen any more.
