AN6 fitings in stock fuel rail
hi.
i would apreciate a litle help . i am trying to upgrade my fuel rail and i want to use 6an fitings. 1)i want to fit two metric to 6an adaptors on my rail.on one end i want to tap a metric 12x1.25 thread ant to fit a #991945 adaptor and on the other end i will tap 14x1.5 metric and fit a #9919dfh. am i corect? why the 12 mm adaptor have washer and the 14mm dont? do i need to put a washer to the 14mm #9919dfh? do i need an oring adapter parhaps? please note that when i tap i cannot fabricate the groove for the oring, that means that the only option i have is the above adapters? 2)the stock metal tubing is 7.85mm outside diameter with 1mm wall. can i convert it to 6AN and how? 3)if i use the superstock #709167 and heat the superstock tubing, how can i remove it if i want to? heat it again?do i need any tighteners? thanks achilles |
what I did for my fuel system was as follows.
tapped 1/4ntp on the feed side of the primary and ran a 45degree 1/4 to -6 adapter (to clear the OMP injectors) I bought the SARD secondary rail FPR adapter. It has an o-rng that seals on and it make a female -6 hole. then I got the fuel system recall thing for the primary to secondary rails (with the banjo bolt) and that was it. |
hi,
i am thinking to use the 12x1.25 metric adaptor because it is dificult here to find non metric taps. anyway, if i tap what type adaptor to use? isee that there are with 1)oring (do i need a groove) 2)washer 3) none(only teflon tape?) please take a look http://www.anplumbing.com/shop/index...p=&dept=Metric thanks |
