I'm one of the lucky owners of the Pineapple pulley setup. All I can say is that the quality is top notch. I had no idea that they stopped making them. I'll drop Rob an e-mail if you guys would like.

Clearance required some grinding on the bottom of the t-stat housing. |
I had one of the first ones, maybe that why I didn't have to shave any off of the housing. The belt is close, but by no means close enough to touch.
Jared you still go to the meetings? CJ |
I don't know of this is correct but I did see the idler pulley kit for sale...if these are not it....my bad:hahaha:
http://www.pineappleracing.com/index.asp BTW...can the pineappleracing idler pulley kit rev up to 9k rpm without slippage constantly? |
Yes, they are for sale again. Rob found a guy who could do the machining for cheaper. He was going to wait to put the word out until the wooden boxes that they where to come in where finished. But if you must have them, they are available. CJ

Yup yup, emailed him yesterday and he told me that they are definitely backup for sale!

:) Rob @ pineapple stated that the second gens are much better then their original version. ie: better material and cnc machining with some eye appeal. I cant wait till they can ship these out.

CJ, it took almost 1 1/2 to sell 20 kits, so I did not make more. Enough guys had been asking about them so I decided to make more. Sorry to say, but nicer than the kit you bought. They are on the website. I found a machinist who was better and less expensive. Comes with stainless fasteners. I am having a nice wooden box made for them. Retail:$249, Intro price $179. I was waiting for a full announcement for when I had the wooden boxes, but if someone needs one now, I will sell kits. From the man himself. :) |
+1^^^
|
What pp13bnos said is indeed true, I just talked to him on the phone and it's pretty sad that he just broke even last year selling 20 kits. It's good that he's selling it now though and if I were you guys I'd get them because again what he said intro price is $179.00 and won't be that price for long. Well I purchased one for myself today :) ** Also Rob did say that he doesn't have the stainless steel fasteners yet but he'll ship em right when he gets them for people who do buy it now.

The FD idler kit does indeed come with a belt. Its perfect with stock pulleys but if you have aftermarket pulleys then I'd suggest you give rob a call and tell him exactly what you have.
|
just received my shipment enjoy the picture!!!! the choice of material and attention to detail is mind blowing. It does come with a belt!!!!
