How exactly are the alternators failing? Are these new parts you're putting on? Remans? Used?

Are you sure that the alternator is bad it could just be the wires going to it. Check the ground on the alternator.

yea all the mods are brand new, and last time this happened all the lights on my dash turned on and started to dim out because my battery wasnt holding a charge, my idle kept jumping up and down from 300 to 800, if i put the gas peddle to the floor it would only get up to maybe 1500rpm the only way to get it higher was if i kept tapping the peddle, but i was told u can do a test to see if the alternator was dying, is to hold the rpm at 2000 then dissconect the negitive lead of the battery and if it dies its the alternator
