All FD's turbod? please just answer yes or no

I own a truck and a half a year ago bought my fb and now i am currently selling my truck. I was talking on the phone with a guy from LA motorcars in dallas about what FD's he has to offer and he might could get for me. what got my attention was that he said all FD's made are turbod. Now i honestly do not know about much about the FD's but know a good bit about FB's and FC's. could anybody tell me if what this guy said was accurate or not and also does anybody know about the quality or service or just anything about the buisness LA Motorcars in dallas. thanks and the information is appreciated.

To the original question: yes, and I am absolutely certain.

If you find someone that says otherwise, they are at least one of these:
a) talking about a car that has been modified (turbos removed) since it came from the factory
b) someone that doesn't know what they are talking about

There are FDs without turbos, but they have all been modified since they came from the factory to be that way. Every FD came with twin sequential turbos from the factory.

Max,

I met a guy with a mustang on a local board here a few months ago. He met this guy with a 93 RX-7 who said "mine is the N/A version, lets race". So the guy with the mustang was gonna set up a race. He even showed him the inside of his engine bay and said "See, no turbo's" They guy looked and did not see any. Its no suprise, if you dont take your car apart you will NEVER see the turbos on this car.

Not all FD owners are honest. Hell I'm gonna start tellin people im stock, LOL. j/k.

I guess that's a good reason, too:
c) lying about having turbos to hustle someone into a race

Some guy in a truck at a stop light asked me if I had a turbo once. I explained that they are all twin turbo from the factory, but that I had switched to a single turbo on mine. That got a confused look, as twins are generally perceived to be more powerful than single turbos. Then the guy said his friend had one that didn't have any turbos. I asked if it was the same body style as mine and the guy said yes. We then argued for a moment about his friend's car having turbos until the light turned green. I don't understand why it is so hard to believe that they are all twin turbo, but that doesn't compute for many people, I guess. All F40s are twin turbo, why is it so hard to believe that all FDs are, too? :) (half joking)

You think that's bad - I argued (for about 5 secs, before I came to my senses) with a Mazda dealer parts person because he insisted he needed to know if mine was a turbo or N/A for my parts request. I ended the arguement by telling I had the turbo model...

Silex 03-01-03 04:03 AM

What were you doing at a Mazda Parts Dealer LOL. That in itself is funny :P.

peejay 03-01-03 09:11 AM

Where else are you going to get Mazda parts? :)
