Alarm WONT shut-off

With the battery connected the alarm wont shut-off its a constant sound of the alarm going off. I had to disconnect the battery to shut it off, once the terminal and the connector touch it immediately goes off. I disconnected the 8 pin and 20 pin from that alarm module and the alarm noise did go away, but thats just band-aiding the problem. I had to disconnect the white harness that attaches at both door hinges and after that ive had this problem, cant figure it out. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
B

Did this just happen after your install of the vertical door hinges?

This could be a component leve problem. I would try to find a wiring diagram an trace down the common grounds. There could be problems in the circuitry of the module. You might have to replace it. Try pricing it at Malloy Mazda.

going to get an aftermarket alarm next week but i believe the pins need to be plugged in for the locks to work correctly.

Yep. I would start by re-checking your work around what it took to put those hinges in.

I have the same problem with my car. I just pop the trunk so when I lock the doors the alarm doesn't activate. When I had an mx6 back in the day, the lock switch was corroded and would do the exact same thing every time I unlocked the car. I was wondering if this was the same thing?
