aftermarket steering wheel help

Does anyone know what i am doing wrong? i’m trying to install and nrg short hub and quick release on my RHD 93 rx7. From my knowledge i have all the pieces i need and they say they are for this car but nothing seems to be right about it except the splines match on the hub and the output shaft. Does anyone see a problem? Is this

not the oem clock spring? Do i have the wrong parts? Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

I dont know for sure, but i'd think the clock spring is different between cars with and without the airbag. The US cars, that the NRG was probably designed for, have driver air bags. Did your car have an airbag? Works bell lists different hubs for cars with/without airbag.

I tried looking on there site to find one for my car (no airbag) and it seems to only have the one with the air bag. my car originally came with no airbags.

That makes sense then. Here's the back side of a works bell short hub for no SRS

I’m going off memory here but that doesn’t look like the oem clock spring to me

It appears to be stock, here's how someone else got a nrg short hub to "work" on their oem non srs FD (scroll down in link). I'd return/sell the NRG and get a works bell that has the cutout for the plug so it can be done right.
