Aeromotive FPR install, parallel or series stock rails
For my next fuel system iteration, I am going to install an aeromotive FPR in place of the stock PD and FPR:
There are 2 obvious ways to set it up series or parallel: as there are 2 inlets on the FPR, I could run a Y block with 2 outputs from the supply line one to each rail, and then a line from each rail to the FPR, and of course a single line back to the tank Or, just leave it in the stock configuration, get rid of the FPR and PD, and plumb the aeromotive FPR in, obviously this is simpler, but is there any advantage to the more complex parallel setup? |
Running stock rails, I would keep it simple... Unless you're re-doing everything and pushing huge power, I doubt it'll make a difference. I'm on a single turbo running 6 injectors and I run series with no problems.
Also, you can use the Sard adapter to make your install easy off the secondary rail. |
anyone have an opinion, as to reversing the flow of the rails, that is having fuel flow into the secondary rail, then to the primary rail, and from the primary rail to the FPR, this would be far easier to do because things line up better and would save me a little bit of cash.

I have a few different engine builders (VERY reputable ones) tell me that if i am redoing the entire fuel system, to run the secondary rail first if they are left in series.

I run mine in series with the secondary getting supplied first. Supra pump, kg rails, 850's/1600's, and aeromotive fpr. Works good
