AEM uego power source...

Hi guys... i have a problem with powering my aem uego..

I have tried to get my aem uego to agree with my datalogit for a while...for the ground wire, I have wired it to the same ground going into datalogit and the uego unit. Using aem calibration at idle it can 0.7 to 1 richer in datalogit than the readout.... And I have seen the wideband calibration excel file... And tried to get some point readouts to use with the file.... And all I get is 5.0 everywhere. For some reason... An1 the serial wire going in is always only showing 1.x volt... An2 ground is showing 0.x volt... Shouldnt it be more than that? Like 0-5 volt? I have confirmed uego is running p0 setting so it runs 0-5v.. I run positive and negative from the cigarette lighter wire... So I can key on power... Could this be the problem? Where do u guys get power to the uego unit??? Thanks

When I get back later today I can try and help unless someone beats me to it. You have all your 0-5volts set up properly on the programming side your saying? I can't recall where I took my power and ground from, but it definitely was never tapped into the cig lighter I know that.

Thanks alot man.. I played around with the settings and never got it to work... Its really weird as at idle.. its 0.7-1 off... Give it some rev... Mid range its 0.2-0.3 off... I am wondering whats the delta function is for?

If you have the black box do not ground it

Let's make sure we are talking about the same guage also... I will check to see what I have in a bit.

30-4110... forgot I ordered it on Amazon so it was an easy search lol

Sorry for the multiple responses as I am doing a lot at once right now...

Remember of you are logging max for example with 0 hold off it will not mach up perfectly as it just recorded the max. If your running your sensor in the proper position a 160ms hold off avg. will give you a more accurate instant reading from what you see on the guage vs what you are logging. .

You need a common ground between the ECU and the wideband.

Do u mean I need to find ground in the ecu harness and tie that to the wideband?

I have tried settings above and it does not work... Maybe some wiring issue ...

Yes. You can tap into the wiring harness itself that connects to the ECM, although you might want to consider a harness jumper, as cutting into the old brittle stock wires is kind of a risk.

Do you have the factory service manual and ECM pinout? I assume you have a 92-95 model car, Japan spec right hand drive (considering your location)? most info here is for US spec models.

Thanks.... maybe I will look into that... actually I have the 96 JDM Right hand drive... Type IV.... maybe I will find some ecu pinout and look into the ground source later this week with my mechanic.

Another weird thing I just noticed is the boost gauge, also AEM. When cold start in the morning, it's -0.07 but when it's a warm start, it reads 0.00. It is also powered off cigarette lighter. Can this also be the problem?
