added brake fluid, ABS light now on and no ABS WTF?

yeah I just added a little brake fluid (SynPower) because my level was a little low and the E-brake light came on. Well the E-brake light is now off but my ABS light came on and the ABS system doesn't work. Hit the brakes hard a few times to see and all I do is screech the tires real bad. I checked the main ABS fuse as well as the secondary one to the side and both seem to be fine. I have no idea if adding fluid triggered to ABS system to have a heart attack or if it was just coincidental. All I did was simply poor in some new fluid so I don't see how the hell that could cause the system to go to hell. Any input would be much appreciated.

Are you sure your abs system worked before, did you ever test it out before?

yeah it worked, and the light didn't come on before either.

Not sure if it would work, but i would try bleeding the brake fluid completely to see if that helps. It's possible there is air in the brake lines, and that would make it hard for the ABS to work? just a shot.
