Add Coolant LIGHT!
Hey list...
I'm using evens+ coolant but the light on the dashboard goes off! I fill up to the top while running and the light still goes off....what does this mean? Thanks -joe |
Is the water level sensor still connected? Could be the wire to the sensor got snap off too.

Keep filling it up. It may just be that as coolant circulates and moves, the air pockets in it keep escaping, and there appears to be less coolant. Do it like 5 or 6 times. Start it, let it run, add coolant, see if it goes down at all, and if it does, add more. This is assuming that you have no coolant leaks.

Maybe you have a leak...any puddles? or steam when you stop at a light?
|
Are you spuewing coolant out anywhere? I was loosing mine out of the coolant resevoir due to a the ast cap not having a good enough seat. ($300 diagnosis)

Since evans expands and contracts a lot more then conventional coolant it may be one of the causes. But if you have to keep filling it up then you probally have a leak. Can you smell coolant when you go to start it...or do you see any puddles underneit the car?
