Adapting H2O gauge to stock
I was wondering if anyone who has an aftermarket water temp gauge has considered or tried hotwiring it to the stock thermometer? Otherwise, how did you install your sensor. GReddy has a real cool radiator hose adapter but much to small for the 7's upper hose, maybe the lower but it would sense the cooled temp and not the hot end. Any suggestions.

i put mine in where the blue adapter is on the housing. there is a hex plug there. i also have no air pump

wouldnt it be better to make a hole in the radiator hose instead of drilling in the water pump? i have seen it done and it looks better. what might be bad about this setup?

Thanx Clayne, I've seen some pics of the same thing with explaination but you filled in the blanks so I'll give it a go.

You would also use a hose adapter, not make a hole in the radiator hose, which would never work. |
