AC Dryer help - Denso system
I'm working on restoring the AC system and it did not come with a dryer. From the existing lines it appears to be a Denso system based on a forum search. I purchased the one in the top picture below per ebay recommendations (PN 1225C) but it did not fit. The positioning pins did not line up and the orings did not seat properly. The 2nd picture shows a picture I found of an RX7 dryer that has pin locations closer to what my lines are.

I cross referenced this on ebay and it gave me a driver PN 1200C instead of the 1225C. Some listings showed the 1200C as having an RX7 application but most call it out for other cars (geo metro). I ordered one to try out but does anyone know why there are two different part numbers for the Denso System? It also looks like Advance Auto now recommends the 1225C as well. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...dc8a9315c9.jpg 1200C |
I have used the ones that Four Seasons sells for our cars, and I don't remember having any fitment issues.
Link for the one I bought. |
I used the ACDelco one from Rock Auto, its a bit shorter than OEM but it fits well. They have some other ones that don't fit, the UAC one for example looks like the one you puchased.
