AC belt tensioner location...
Changing belts, I put the alternator belt on fine. Can't seem to find the belt tensioner bolts for the PS/AC belt. There is a non-grooved pulley, with a bolt on the top left. I thought that was the tensioner bolt, but I can only get the bolt to move a little bit to each side. Is there another nut holding that bolt in place, or is there some other place to adjust the tensioner on the PS belt?

Loosen the nut that holds the pulley, then adjust and re-tighten. It acts as a lock.

The nut in the center of the pulley?

Just be glad you didn't force it and snap the ear off your bracket where the adjusting bolt is. (-:

Yup, loosen the bolt holding the pulley, then adjust the other bolt to tighten or loosen.
Makes me really appreciate hydraulic, or spring loaded auto tensioners. |
Time for someone to downlaod the manual from one of the web sites.
