ABS sensor reading 0.00 ohms resistance.
 

Did the "spin wheels individually by hand while car is running and on jacks, then see what wheels trigger the ABS light" ABS sensor test and diagnosed the front passenger wheel speed sensor.

Sure enough, the resistance is 0.00 ohms.... so it's NOT an open circuit, but there's no resistance. I also tested the driver's side wheel (it's .941Kohms) to verify my meter is working.

Questions: Does the zero reading mean the sensor itself is bad, or is it the wiring? Would a broken wire read 0 like that? Does it indicate a short?

zero resistance would indeed indicate a short

OK, I'll splice in some new wiring tonight and see if it works.

That usually means somewhere the wire is tweaked or separated from the sensor. Not sure if they are repairable.

well, it's the sensor :(

after cutting the wire about 1" from the sensor, it still reads 0 resistance.

BTW - for people who find this thread in the future, YES the sensor is a bitch to remove. just keep twisting, tugging, pounding and prying...you'll most likely damage it, so only remove it if you're replacing it anyways.

Just curious if anyone has a confirmed working (after uninstallation) pass front sensor they'd be willing to sell.

Good luck man. I bought 2 unusable ones on this forum. Don't buy it used unless the seller is willing to test it for you and guarantees you a refund.
