Abs problem!!!
i have a 1993 FD Rx7. the ABS brakes arent kicking in. the motor works i can hear it pumping when i jump some wire so its on.....i went to the driver side rear where the ABS unit is. the light flashes 10x and then pauses and flashes 10x....over and over.
Do you know what this light means, or what the problem is? iv checked the relays, and tested the brake sensors, they ALL work fine. please help. |

all i need to know are what the 10x flashing light means. ANYONE!!! |
I'm not sure the flashing light on the ABS control unit is code for anything. You need to have an ABS tester to diagnose if anything is wrong in the system. You can't test the ABS unit itself so only think about replacing that after you've checked everything else.

P.S. i did find a cheap used ABS computer that i was thinking of getting, whats your opinion on getting this? i know im asking alot of questions and i appreciate your help in advance. |
You can get an ABS tester at your friendly local Mazda dealer...
The 10 flashes does mean something, but I couldn't tell you what it is. Why Mazda didn't put the meanings of the flash codes in the manual is beyond me. If you take the light out the system will continue to operate as it is operating now. A new computer might fix it, but probably not. Run through all the diagnostic procedures in the manual that you can run through if you haven't already. |
