ABS light.....checking ABS codes?
Readings old threads, some people suggest that you can check the ABS codes by jumping terminals on the diag. box. Others say that you must have a code reader to check codes.
I've had my ABS light on ever since I took the unit out (to install a torque brace) and put it back in. I put everything back in how it was, but the light has stayed on. After I installed my springs, it was pretty low and rubbed on the fender liner. I pulled it out and found a broken grey connector. I can't find the other end of the connector, it's 2 wires and in the pass. side front wheel well. So can anyone confirm that I can check ABS codes and how to do it? |
OK so the FSM mentions the ABS tester, but nothing about manually checking the codes.

Sounds like the wire you found may be to the sensor for that wheel. |
