ABS error codes
 

Can any body help me with this problem.
ABS light in dash remains on so ABS brake system not working. The ABS ECU is displaying 9 flashes, what error code is this ???

Did you ever figure this out? Is it true that you can pull an ABS code by jumping TBS and GND in the diagnostic box?

If there's is not a way to pull an ABS code, what's the best way to identify a faulty speed sensor? My 4W ABS light is on after doing some suspension work, and I think I may have broken a sensor, pulled a wire loose, or gotten the sensor dirty--but I don't know which wheel to look at.

Do I need to remove the speed sensor to clean it? Should I clean any part of it with anything?

Bump this up. I am looking for this information too. How do you address a wheel speed sensor problem. I tripped my ABS light after a spring install today. :(

Last time I did springs I was able to install the strut without disconnecting the wheel speed sensor (because the bolt to the sensor bracket on the driver side had a snapped head). No problem. Today, I did the same and I might have put too much tension on the sensor/sensor-wire.

Is there a write up on troubleshooting/replacing/repairing/cleaning a wheel speed sensor?

wow, I guess you not the only one out there. I have same problem, after instating new struts in the front, abs light came on afterwords.

There are numerous ABS system checks in the factory service manual. Section P.

Figured I would add onto this thread rather than starting my own...I installed some Tein S-tech's yesterday, and went for a drive today...4W ABS light comes on as soon as I start rolling. :(

I can sit there and let it idle until it's out of gas and nothing will happen, but once I start moving the light comes on and stays on until I shut the car off. The next time I start the car, same thing.

I visually inspected the wheel sensors for any damage, and there doesn't appear to be any. We didn't really put any great amount of stress on the lines while doing the springs. Did one of my sensors just fail or what?

Sounds like it. The ABS computer compares the signals from all the wheel speed sensors just after the car starts moving to determine if any of them are bad. If the computer doesn't see 4 wheel speeds which are fairly close to each other then it will get pissed off and turn on the light, on the assumption that there's a fault with one or more sensors.

Thanks man...I guess I'll just start checking each sensor for continuity, and see which ones outta whack. :(
