what is the best aftermarket flywheel (s. steel) for the FD?... :Wconfused

there are quite a few different flywheels out there. It depends on what you want out of your car. not much point in going any heavier than a 12lb aftermarket flywheel. Once you add the counterweight, it starts getting close to the factory weight if you go with a heavier flywheel.

I recently put an ACT Prolite flywheel in mine and I absolutely love it. The downside to that flywheel in particular is that it doesn't have a replaceable friction plate, so eventually it will wear out and you'll have to replace the whole thing again.

I don't really believe there is a "best". I haer a lot of people that like the 8.5 Fidanzas, and a lot that like 12lb flywheels. It really depends on preference.

Its resurfacable so no need to replace the insert so its not a downside its a plus.
